I poopy

AS I was talking on the phone with my mother. Christina and Chloe were watching the Wizard of OZ. Christina tells me I Poopy. I tell her I will change her when dad is done. She then runs upstairs to her older sisters. Avery comes running down the stairs, yelling Christina has poop on her hands. I hang up the phone, run upstairs to see Chloe with poop all over her hands. So what did I learn from this? When you kid says I poopy, you better ask what is poppy?

HO HO Snow

Christmas has come and gone again. I sit here in what I think is our living room. It is filled with pieces of wrapping paper and lose pieces from games and Barbies. We had no toys to put together this year. But I did have a MP3 Player that took 4 hours to load. I have prepared myself for endless days of watching the Wizard of OZ and asst. Veggie Tales movies.

We did go over to my sister today. I managed to get through the slush. As I was eating my second helping of Lefsa, I took a look around and notice how blessed my family has been. Despite all of the struggles and changes we had another Christmas together. We have learned or should I say we are learning to trust the Lord more.

I must confess I was not that into the holidays this year. I am not sure it it just came so fast or I just didn't have time. As I watched all of the kids open there gifts and paper was flying I was reminded about the excitement of the holidays. It was the gift. Not the ones we give and receive from each of, But the one we got on this day over 2000 years ago. The gift of Jesus and what he gave us. I can't help but smile and hum silent night as I type.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

It's all great

I am still working on getting the Christmas program off my camcorder onto the computer. I need to load a new driver.

It has been A crazy month. Getting ready for Christmas, Helping at church with the Christmas show, trying to keep the tree decorated, picking up everything 3 times and having to do it again. Work, bus stops, snacks, Flu shots, not taking naps and did I mention picking up eveything 3 times and having to do it again. It make a person what to stop and scream. Just when I have had enough and I want to runaway. My kids remind me why it is all worth while. I just finished picking up the living room for the second time. Chloe runs it to the room and wraps her arms around my legs and say "My daddy no share and we start to dance". Just then Christina joins in. I am on my knees dancing as the have their arms wrappd around me. I forgot about all of the other stuff. Even the removal of all of the DVDs from the drawer. We just danced and giggled and had a good time. As usual, I have to cut this short. I can smell a diaper that needs changing

Sorry it has been so long

It has been awhile since I last typed. The Holidays, Work and everything else has been keeping me pretty busy. Sunday will be the big Christmas play at Church. I am hoping to have it posted. Hannah (the 7 year old) has a solo. Avery (the 5 year old) and the Twins Chloe and Christina ( 2 year old wonder twins) will all be singing away in the manger. It never fails I start to type and some needs something. I am going to change a diaper or 2. I will have to share our attempt to potty later.

Tuesday

Today is the last day of school before the Thanksgiving break. It was a no uniform day. If the girls had their way they would have dress like it was July. We managed to get them in long pants and long sleeve shirts.Of course they complained it was cold.

The twins had speech today. The teacher was a no show. A day wasted at home. We could have been out and about.

Tomorrow we will all be home. I am hoping and praying for everyone to sleep in late. I use to say I wish I could get put in a drug induced coma for a week. I have stopped since that is how Micheal Jackson died.

I need to go, the twins have just climbed the counter to get to the CC cookies. Never a dull momment.

Monday

It must have been Dad takes their kids to get haircut day. Kids Cut was filled with Dads. Lots of Dads. The Twins got their haircut today. It was a easy trip. No tears or fits. The other Dad's were not as lucky. Thank God for Barney, yes the purple dinosaur. Who would ever thought those words would come out of my mouth.

I just got off the phone with my sister. She wants to get all of the grand kids together for a family photo for Christmas. That would be thirty kids ranging from infant to 30+. Sears photo studios will never be the same again.

FIrst time

Here we go! This is my first time posting a blog. Please be kind. I am a lousy speller and a user of the English Language. I hope to improve with time. Most of this blog will focus on my four daughters. This may better explain the title of the blog. I will be sharing the ups and downs of being one of the growing numbers of stay at home dads. Not only am I a stay at home Dad, I work at nights from home. I have been Married for 11 years. Janell is the glue that holds us together.
